A new coffee hotspot is in town, and the owner said Toowoomba residents could expect a unique and convenient experience.
Set to open bright and early on Monday morning, The Shed Coffee Drive Thru will be serving breakfast, lunch and snacks and allows customers to purchase fresh produce and pantry items for dinner.
The Shed Coffee Drive Thru owner Ted Ellison said in a unique twist, staff members would come and take orders from and deliver the food to the customer’s car window so they didn’t need to leave their vehicle.
“(It) will be the only coffee shop in town where you can pick up everything from breakfast, through to dinner without leaving your car,” he said.
“Forget ordering through a speaker … The Shed Coffee Drive Thru is doing away with the drive-through norms and bringing back old school personal service.”
Partnering with The Paddock Darling Downs, the newly constructed space is located near The Paddock Butcher Shop, offering a one-stop-shop for customers.
Mr Ellison said the new business would be offering the local community a quality coffee and food experience in a convenient location.
“The Shed Coffee Drive Thru is proud to announce that they are the first cafe in Toowoomba to serve Toby’s Estate coffee, renowned for their quality award-winning brews,” Mr Ellison said.
“Bringing Toby’s Estate coffee to Toowoomba was a huge priority … we wanted a coffee supplier who sourced ethical, quality beans and who produced those beans with skill and passion, delivering a flavour and quality totally unique to its customers.”
Offering menu options like Mrs G’s Gourmet pies and sausage rolls, sandwiches, salads and snacks which will be handmade onsite will also be available.
“We will use quality, locally sourced products where possible, which will be supplied by The Paddock Drive Thru Butcher shop located at the same location,” Mr Ellison said.
“The Paddock Drive Thru Butcher shop supports local growers and farmers with our local meat and spray-free produce range.”
Opening on Monday, June 14, The Shed Coffee Drive Thru is at 224 Ruthven St and the customers’ entry is off Delacey St.
Trading seven days a week, the business will be open on weekdays from 5am to 4pm and weekends from 7am to 2pm.
