Fans of the Olympic Games received a special surprise when a gold medallist visited the garden city.
Australian swimmer Ariarne Titmus was at Toowoomba’s Harvey Norman store on Saturday, where she met with fans, posed for photos and signed autographs.
Ms Titmus won the hearts of the nation when she competed at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and became the third person in Australian history to win gold for the 200m and 400m freestyle double.
Aged just 20 at the time, she also took home silver in the 800m freestyle event and bronze for the 4x200m relay.
