A search for a Geelong man who has been missing for three days will intensify on Wednesday morning with SES crews set to join police in a major effort to locate him.
The family of the 55-year-old, last seen in Whittington on Sunday, hold grave fears for his safety as Victoria Police issued a public plea for information into his whereabouts.
An SES spokeswoman confirmed volunteers had been called in to assist in the search that will focus on the Whittington area.
It’s understood security footage captured him in Gemini Court at about 10am on May 25.
The man, known as Darren, has not been seen or heard from since.
He is described as caucasian with a tall, slim build and fair skin.
People living in the Geelong suburb have been asked to check CCTV footage for any possible sightings.
He was last seen wearing a black peaked cap, black sunglasses, black t-shirt, black jeans, black runners and a black backpack.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact Geelong Police Station on 55225 3100 quoting reference 250224912.
