A witness has described chaotic scenes at a Geelong shopping centre with a female driver allegedly hitting a street sign before colliding into a pizza shop.
Police and paramedics were called to the Brunenzo’s Italian restaurant on the Bellarine Hwy at about 7pm on Tuesday night.
It will be alleged the driver of a white Holden commodore ute was seen driving erratically before slamming into the shopfront.
Diners escaped without injury.
“They were treated to dinner and a show,” one woman said.
“I think she tried to park but then ran through the front of the shop.
“She then asked a bunch of witnesses to help her move her car.”
It will be alleged the vehicle also “ran through a keep left sign” on a median strip.
A woman was taken from the scene by police.
Victoria Police has been contacted for comment.
