Friends and family of a Geelong man killed in a motorcycle crash near Winchelsea have been left devastated by his tragic death just weeks before Christmas.
Whittington’s Nathan MacDonald, 21, has been identified as the victim of the shocking smash in Wurdiboluc on Sunday, with early reports indicating his bike left the road near the corner of Cape Otway Rd and Dysons Lane.
He is the eleventh person killed on Geelong and Surf Coast roads this year in what has been described as a “terrible year” by police.
His grieving sibling, Aiden, said he’d miss his brother and he “can’t believe it happened.”
The family was too upset to offer any further comment when contacted by this masthead.
Friends of the young motorbike enthusiast have also issued online tributes to the man cut down in his prime.
Investigators believe Mr MacDonald had been travelling along Cape Otway Rd about 12.30pm on December 8 “when he left the road and crashed.”
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are still being probed.
Wurdiboluc, a town of less than 200 people, is located 33km southwest of Geelong.
It follows three fatal crashes last month that killed one man, a woman and another unidentified person in separate accidents.
The latter died on the Great Ocean Rd near Apollo Bay when a car was found engulfed in flames on November 26.
Geelong mum Mandy McDonald, 57, lost her life in a tragic smash on the Geelong Ring Rd on November 16, while George Edmiston, 21, was killed on the same evening near Meredith.
