Geelong Ring Road closed southbound after ‘serious’ crash
All southbound lanes of the Geelong Ring Road reopened between Anakie Rd and Ballarat Rd about 6pm, following a serious crash on Friday afternoon.

A truck smashed into a parked a car on the Geelong Ring Road on Friday afternoon.
All southbound lanes have now reopened between Anakie Rd and Ballarat Rd after the truck hit the car, which had no one inside, at about 2pm.
The truck driver was uninjured.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash, in Bell Post Hill, are yet to be determined and police are investigating.
The truck could be seen to the side of the road, while the damaged car was being towed, with one witness describing the scene as “horrific”.
