A quiet Boxing Day by Darwin Waterfront was lit up by an afternoon storm.

The Hewick family were enjoying their first Christmas in Darwin.

“It’s beautiful and hot,” said youngest son Jack Hewick.

The Hewicks were visiting from Perth and enjoyed their tropical escape.

“We’ll be back here again hopefully,” father Ian Hewick said.

The afternoon swim was interrupted by a storm for Angeline, Nico, Sanjoh and Kiara.
