A CONVOY of colourful Alfa Romeos has left Toowoomba on a trailblazing mission to raise funds for outback charity Angel Flight.
They will join the rest of the 60 entrants in Mitchell this afternoon before tomorrow's official start to the 2013 Angel Flight Outback Trailblazer.
Organiser Lance Smith said teams from Wagners and Stonestreets Coaches as well as Toowoomba accounting and law firms were among those who took advantage of the city's blooming gardens to do a pretend start for the cameras this morning.
They will leave Mitchell tomorrow before heading to Injune, Springsure, Snake Range National Park and Clermont on their way to Barcaldine.
Mr Smith said Angel Flight coordinated non-emergency flights to help country people trying to deal with bad health, poor finances and daunting distances.
"Angel Flight relies entirely on donations, so earth angels like our Outback Trailblazers are crucial to keep the service aloft," Mr Smith said.
