Thousands of shoppers flocked to Boxing Day sales in Toowoomba with some using different tactics to obtain the best bargains.
Dalby residents Alison King and her daughter Sabrina were in Toowoomba for a family Christmas and took the opportunity to search for some bargains during the sales on Sunday.
However, they have a more planned approach to the shopping spree than most.
“We plan for the shopping and target certain stores,” Alison said.
“So far Sabrina has a Nike bag for school and we have some toys, we’ve got one more shop to do.”
On the other hand, Toowoomba pair Jack Waldron and Eloise Head use more of the “winging it” process.
“There’s no plan to it,” Jack explained, having just emerged from Peter Alexander.
“We just shop!”
Despite Covid-19 restrictions, the National Retail Association was predicting $2.75 billion would be spent on Boxing Day sales in shops across Australia.
