Child sustains significant lacerations after barb wire fence crash

Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a serious motorcycle crash in the Somerset region and east of Toowoomba, after a young patient was involved in a serious crash.
The patient, who’s gender and age has not been confirmed, sustained throat injuries and was left in a serious condition after they were involved in a motorcycle crash on a private property in Coominya.
It is understood the vehicle crashed into a barb wire fence leaving the child with significant lacerations to their throat.
A helicopter was deployed to the scene and the patient was flown to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane.
The incident occurred on Saturday at 8.25am.
