Fireys from the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services were called to a private property in Drayton after a couch caught fire.

The incident occurred on Luck St on Saturday.

A spokesman from QFES said it was not clear how the couch caught alight, but it had been extinguished by the time crews arrived at the scene about 10.50am.

It is understood patients on site were assessed by paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service, but no one required treatment or transportation to hospital.

One person has been assessed by paramedics for smoke inhalation, after a large grass fire occurred in Highland Plains.

Four crews from QFES were also called to the scene on Vonhoffs Road about 9.20am on Saturday.

The patient who was assessed for smoke inhalation declined transportation to hospital.

A spokesman for QFES said the fire occurred as a result of powerlines falling down and setting the grass alight.

It is understood approximately 15m by 75m of grass on a private property was burnt but fireys had managed to contain it by about 10am.

Ergon Energy were also called to the scene and attended to the fallen powerlines.

Paramedics from QAS have transported an injured person to hospital after they fell from a bicycle in Redwood.

The patient, who’s gender and age was not recorded, sustained head and knee injuries as a result of the fall, which occurred on Bridge St on Saturday at 8.59am.

They were transported the patient to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition.

Paramedics were called to an incident in the Somerset region and east of Toowoomba, after a man fell off the roof of a vehicle.

The incident occurred on Friday at 11.38pm on Cloake St, in Coominya.

A male patient aged in his 20s sustained a head injury and was transported to Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition.

Emergency service crews rushed to the scene of a house fire in Geham on Friday at 11.23pm.

Six crews from the QFES were called to the incident, but when they arrived the wooden structure was already completely engulfed.

Fireys worked to contain the blaze but sadly the home was completely destroyed and later collapsed.

Crews remained at the property on Robinson Road until the early hours of Saturday morning.

A spokesman from QFES said fire investigators would return to the scene on Saturday to determine the cause of the blaze.

Paramedics and police were also called to the incident, however a spokesman for the Queensland Police Service said no information on the fire was available.

No patients were reported on scene and QAS did not transport anyone to hospital.

One teenage patient was transported to Charleville Hospital after they fell off a vehicle and sustained a head injury.

The male patient was riding a motorcycle on a private property in the rural town of Cooladdi when he fell on Friday at 9.16pm.

Paramedics arrived on scene and the patient was transported to hospital in a stable condition.
