‘All-inclusive, private’: Innovative tanning salon opens 24 hours a day

With more than two decades of experience in beauty therapy, the new business owner said the unique concept was a “Toowoomba first.”

They say you can achieve anything with a great spray tan, and now Toowoomba residents can achieve their sun-kissed glow at all hours of the day or night.

With more than two decades of experience in beauty therapy, Jacqui Wheatley has launched her own spray tanning business – Le Bronz’d, with a unique twist.

With two automated tanning machines and four healthy glows to choose from, the service is open 24 hours a day.

“I moved to Toowoomba to be with my partner, and with his support I started to believe in myself and decided to step out on my own,” she said.

“Over the years I’ve met a lot of people who don’t feel comfortable standing in front of someone to get their tan, so the great thing about this is it’s all-inclusive and private.”

Ms Wheatley said the 24-hour service also catered for parents and business people who were unable to attend appointments during standard business hours.

“I think there are only about 40 of these machines Australia wide and there was nothing like this in Toowoomba already,” she said.

“You’re tanned and dry within four minutes, so you don’t have to worry about walking around all sticky and can get on with your day.”

The salon, which opened this month, features two tanning machine rooms and a bathroom.

Ms Wheatley said the tanning products were Australian-made, natural, organic and paraben-free.

The salon will be staffed on Tuesdays to Saturdays, from 9am to 5pm and Thursdays, from noon to 8pm.

Clients using the service outside these hours can download the Le Bronz’d phone app, which generates a unique entry code.

The new business is at the Hooper Centre Shopping Village at 187 Hume St.
