Acknowledge your behaviour’: Inside new business built on protecting planet

A successful entrepreneur and newcomer to the world of business have joined forces to launch their own start-up which specialises in eco-friendly supplies.

Two Toowoomba mums have combined their passions for business and the planet, by starting new venture Privy Solutions, which specialises in sustainable sanitary and washroom products for other organisations.

The new project which launched in late 2023, is the brainchild of prominent Toowoomba business owner Natasha Krahenbring and her close friend Abbey Webb.

Currently supplying sanitary bins, paper towels and toilet paper, the pair will soon be stocking hand soap, sanitiser, coffee cups and containers with a focus on minimising environmental impact.

“We understand the unique needs of Toowoomba businesses, and our ability to provide fast,

personalised services without the environmental impact separates us in the market,” Ms Webb said.

“Being based in Toowoomba allows us to provide personalised and locally-focused service and unlike many others, we don’t need to travel up the range from Brisbane, reducing carbon emissions and aligning with the eco values of our community.”

No stranger to the business world, Ms Krahenbring is well known in the community for being the owner of Motel Glenworth, virtual administration service Virtual Ko and co-working spaces Ko Kollective and Emerald Kove.

Ms Krahenbring came up with the concept after she encountered issues with suppliers for her other four businesses.

“I love business and it’s all I think about,” Ms Krahenbring said.

“But (running my own businesses) also allows me to be at every school event, travel when we want and I get to see the most amazing people at Ko Spaces every single day.

“This business is very different, as it was created out of pure frustration of the lack of service we were receiving with our providers, so I decided to do something about it.”

Meanwhile, Ms Webb brings with her more than a decade of experience in customer service and management.

Passionate about sustainability and protecting the environment for her two-year-old daughter’s future, Ms Webb said she was inspired to make an impact in her community.

“My goal is to inspire others while learning and pursuing a more eco-conscious lifestyle,” Ms Webb said.

“I have always had a passion for protecting the planet and its longevity for future generations.

“When you spend so much time in different corners of the world seeing how our actions are impacting others, you are prompted to acknowledge your own behaviour.”
