The life of dedicated Greens activist Thomas Coyne will be honoured at the annual Toowoomba World Environment Day next month.
The event at Annand Park on June 6 from 10am, named the Thomas Coyne Memorial World Enviornment Day, will feature a number of stalls from environmental and conservation groups, including the Greens, Sea Shepherd, Vegans in Toowoomba and more.
There will also be a number of musical acts, while speakers will deliver a eulogy on Mr Coyne and the issues he cared about.
Mr Coyne was killed when his car crashed near Allora on April 12.
“Thomas was an environmental activist, a campaigner for marriage equality and a disability advocate,” committee secretary Neil Riethmuller said.
