FROM shopping centres to service stations and markets - here are 13 new things that are coming to Toowoomba soon.
1. Grand Central
THE QIC Grand Central redevelopment is the biggest in Toowoomba right now.
The centre will be doubled in size to about 90,000 square metres and will include the old Gardentown site.
New stores include a Kmart, Big W, Woolworths and there's 160 additional specialty stores to be announced.
Some of the new shops will be open by Christmas.

2. Walton stores
FULL of Life Organics Juice Bar and Westpac Bank are the first two businesses to open their doors in the city's newest retail precinct.
The Walton Stores urban renewal project, located on Ruthven St, has been described as a daily food and wine festival.
The multi-million-dollar development is an initiative of Toowoomba companies Aspect Architects and Newlands Commercial Construction.
It was originally planned to start construction in early 2016 but was brought forward to August 2015 due to demand and interest from prospective tenants.
The focus of the project will now turn to the construction of the next stage, focusing on the food tenancies.
Construction is continuing this year.
3. The Mills Precinct
SITUATED in the heart of the Toowoomba CBD, The Mills Precinct will showcase one of Australia's unique pieces of history.
Located at the old at the old Allied Mills site, will offer "urban design of the highest quality" offering interactive work, lifestyle and shopping spaces for locals and tourists. It will have a connection to the Railways Parklands and West Creek.

4. Muller Bros Rooftop Bar
CONSTRUCTION is underway for a café, restaurant and rooftop bar called Muller Bros in the Bell St Mall.
Its name comes from the original builders of the site the Muller Brothers.
Once it's open, the café will serve from breakfast to 3pm, the restaurant for lunch and dinner and the rooftop bar from 4pm.

5. The Bank
The Westpac Bank building on the corner of Ruthven and Margaret sts is set to be transformed into a unique space with high-quality tenants.
The vision for The Bank development is to have two retail stores on the ground floor, offices on the second floor and depending on council approval, a bar on the roof.
The development is scheduled to be finished in the second half of this year.
6. Wilsonton shopping centre
THE Wilsonton Shopping Centre is undergoing a $70 million redevelopment.
Stage one is complete, with a new bulding linking Coles to the main centre.
The design of that building includes a wide, covered colonnade which will allow shoppers to easily walk between the retailers.
The next step includes an extension to the existing centre which will incorporate a full-sized Kmart, a number of new specialty retailers and a restaurant precinct.
The entire project is expected to be completed by Christmas 2017.
7. Bowser boom
FOUR new service stations and the major expansion of an existing one are fuelling a bowser boom in Toowoomba.
Two of the new ones are located at the sites of long-abandoned service stations in Toowoomba on Bridge St and Drayton Rd.
The others are at the Wellcamp Airport and on the Warrego Hwy near Charlton.
8. RSL sub-branch
The TOOWOOMBA RSL is getting a much-needed makeover.
Toowoomba Regional Council has announced that workers would begin restoration on the Ruthven St façade of the historic Toowoomba Soldiers' Memorial Building.
Council Environment and Community Services General Manager Nick Hauser said council, the Queensland Branch of the RSL and the local RSL sub-branch had been in talks for some time about proposed changes to the historic building.
Mr Hauser said council had scheduled around $140,000 worth of works to be undertaken, including $90,000 of electrical upgrades and allowed six weeks to complete the works.
9. One Table
GOURMET street food is making its debut in Toowoomba at the first One Table markets tomorrow.
The first trial event will be held tomorrow at the Mill precinct and tickets have already sold out.
The markets will take on a New York City Chelsea Market and Gansevoort Market vibe and is all about great food, live entertainment and enjoying the company of your mates.
If the market is a success, there are plans to turn it into a monthly event.

10. The Streets and Lanes Festival
THE Streets and Lanes Festival will focus on filling the streets and public spaces of Toowoomba with music, art, drama and food.
The festival will be held in the CBD during the Easter weekend and will replace Easterfest.

11. Friday Nite Bites
A NEW monthly food market will be kicking off this month with Friday Nite Bites.
More than 20 food vans and vendors will be on site, providing patrons with mouth-watering treats from around the globe.
The market will be held at the new Civic Precinct, next to the city library.
It will be a monthly event, held on the third Friday of each month.

12. Original Mix
THE Emerging Designer Market is coming to town this month and will have a range of market stalls, food stalls and live music.
The market is being hosted by The Original Mix owners Veronique Sirianni and Amie Johnson.
The Original Mix is an art collaboration specialising in pop-up events, the promotion of emerging designers, artists and visual creators.
The Emerging Designer Market will be held on Saturday, March 12 from 8am - 1pm.
If the first market is successful, it will run once a month.
13. Best Dumpling
TOOWOOMBA'S popular food van Best Dumpling is expanding into a new store in a Garden City shopping centre.
The dumpling and hot food van that appears at events around the region will continue to run once the shop opened.
She said the fit-out was continuing at the 8 Hume St premises, with the family-run restaurant hoping to open by the end of March.
The Best Dumpling van, which promises customers "a bite of China" opened in 2014.
