Three-month-old baby dies days after mum killed in horrific crash
The Queensland woman died after her car crashed into a tree on Friday, but her little boy survived a few days in hospital before tragically passing away on Sunday.

Despite the best efforts of doctors and nurses, a three-month-old baby has died after sustaining critical injuries in a car crash that killed his mum.
The 33-year-old Queensland woman was driving on Caboolture River Road north of Brisbane on Friday afternoon when her car left the road and crashed into a tree.
The mum died instantly, but her baby boy survived the impact and was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

It’s understood the little boy was sitting in an approved car seat at the time of the crash, but was thrown from the seat.
Two days after the crash that killed his mother, the little boy died at Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane on Sunday afternoon, according to Queensland Police.

Three-month-old dies two days after crash that killed his mum
According to Burpengary Forensic Crash Unit Sergeant Greg Price, investigators have yet to determine the cause of the crash, but said that the car hit “several large trees”.

Police do not believe any other vehicles were involved in the accident.
“The vehicle suffered extensive damage as a result of the crash. We are seeking any witnesses to the crash or any dashcam from the crash,” Sargent Price told the media.

“We are seeking what the actions of the driver were prior to the crash. Most of the people that called in [on Friday] have come across the crash, they weren’t witnesses.”
