A set of twins have been getting a lot of attention on Instagram (and in real-life) lately.

Toddlers and brothers Daniel and David look quite different, but their mum Stacy says they are nearly biologically identical twins.

Now she's taking to social media to set the record straight and share their story with the world.

David was born with Albinism

Stacey explains that Daniel is black with dark hair and David has lighter skin and white hair.

According to her, she didn't think that the boys would look that different at birth when doctors said she might be having nonidentical twins.

"We did not know about their differences while I was pregnant, the scan did not show it, so it was a huge surprise and the most amazing moment when the first twin [Daniel] came out with black hair and the second twin [David] came out with gold hair," she told Bored Panda.

"I had them through CS, so the doctors were like: 'It seems you are having totally unidentical twins.'"

It turns out David has Albinism, a genetic condition that affects melanin production in the body, resulting in light skin and a lack of hair pigment.

The boys quickly gained attention within the hospital. "Before I knew it, nurses started coming out to look at them," Stacy recalled.

"People ask me which one is mine"

The proud mum often dresses her twins in matching outfits and shares their everyday life on Instagram

"We opened an account for them because we believe they have a story to tell the world and also as a way of creating awareness," Stacy said.

She also revealed that the twins might have an acting career ahead of them and have already received modelling offers.

But while the pair have lots of fans worldwide, not everyone is as accepting as she hopes them to be.

"We still get stares and side talks whenever we go out," she said. "People often want to know how and what's happened."

Some even ask her, "Which one is hers."
