A woman has been roasted online for choosing a wedding guest dress that too closely resembled a bridal gown.
Kate, a woman from the UK, was recently invited to a friend’s wedding, and she instantly had an idea of what to wear to the nuptials.
But when she asked for advice online, she was met with a brutal reaction.

Before choosing her outfit for the wedding, she made sure to find out what the bridesmaids were wearing.
“The bridesmaids are wearing green, so I’ve avoided that colour,” she said in the clip, which has since amassed over 650,000 views.
“That's not OK to wear to a wedding”
While she was very wary of not interfering with the bridesmaids’ colours, she opted for a long satin 1930s-style gown featuring floral embroidered detailing under the bust and on the shoulders.
Honestly, it was a beautiful dress, but there was a glaring problem.
“I'm going to a wedding on Saturday, and I was going to wear this dress,” she said, standing in front of the camera.
“But I just wanted to check that no one would think that this is too close to white.”

In Kate’s opinion, the dress is “very clearly pink”, but, uh, I think she’s the only one thinking that.
Personally, it looks closer to champagne or Antique White than pink, but that could be just me.
“But because of the material, I'm kind of concerned that people are going to be like 'That's not OK to wear to a wedding,'” she said.
“Because I would hate that, and I would be so embarrassed.”
But thankfully, this wasn’t the only option that Kate had for the wedding.
In lieu of the “very clearly pink” dress, she had something that looked like the complete opposite: a black strapless gown with a white satin belt and bow on the back.
“This is the dress I’ll wear if people think this is not OK to wear to a wedding,” she said.

“This was the right choice, you look lovely!”
As predicted, Kate’s intuitions were spot-on; a barrage of TikTokers flooded the comments to caution the woman away from wearing the dress.
“Nah don’t risk it,” someone said. “It’s not pink my love, it’s gold/cream,” said another.
“It’s such a stunning dress, but if ever in doubt I wouldn’t,” a third person advised.
“I think if you’re doubting it, then don’t wear it,” someone wrote. “That’s how I decide if I think my dress is too close.”
However, in a follow-up video, the British woman revealed she would introduce a third player into the mix.
“If you watched my last video about which dress I should wear to the wedding, and you said, ‘Neither,’” she said, standing backwards and showing off a nude bodycon dress adorned with rose gold flowers.
“Although, when I got there, there was a woman wearing a black dress with a bow at the back,” she added with a laugh.
Her final dress choice was given a far nicer reception, with a flood of comments supporting her choice.
“This was definitely the better choice for sure,” a person said. “Good decision,” said another.
“I like both previous dresses, but neither was suitable for a wedding,” a third wrote.
“This was the right choice, you look lovely!”
