ALDI's Viennetta dupe has everyone excited

The news was alerted by an ALDI shopper who shared an image of her double purchase in the Markdown Addicts Australia Facebook page. 

Her shop included the Christmas favourites Entertainer Vanilla Flavoured and Hazelnut flavoured dessert.

"Much bigger than Viennetta and just over $6.00 each," she boasted.

The image of the desserts looks similar to the popular 80s and 90s treat and for $6 for a dessert that will serve up 10 people, that's great value for money at a time when we're all so tight. 

But it's not just the savings that people were excited about. 

Many group members hit the comments section to share that they too think it's one of the best dessert dupes they've seen from the German supermarket. 

"We had the vanilla with chocolate shards, yummy and not too sickly sweet," one fan shared. 

"They are yumm been getting them for a couple of weeks now definitely worth every bit of their $6," another agreed.

Tastes just like a Ferrero Rocher

Meanwhile, others were keen to comment about how the Hazelnut version tastes just like another Christmas favourite - the Ferrero Rocher. 

"Can confirm the hazelnut tastes like a frozen Ferrero and it’s yummy!!! Definitely worth it!" someone said. 

"The hazelnut one is delicious!!" another chimed in. 

"I got the hazelnut one it’s really good, tastes like Ferrero chocolate," another agreed. 

And another said the dupe actually "tastes better" than the original Viennetta. 

Meanwhile, others were just happy to take a trip down memory lane with the dupe.
