Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers: The Whitlams to perform Eternal Nightcap album at Festival of Food and Wine

One of Australia’s favourite bands, The Whitlams, have revealed their setlist for this weekend’s Carnival of Flowers Food and Wine Festival as they headline a massive weekend of music at Queens Park.

Iconic Australian band The Whitlams have revealed they will play their entire Eternal Nightcap album during their Festival of Food and Wine set this weekend.

Their headlining performance at Queens Park on Sunday night will mark the 25th anniversary of the album, which features their hit song No Aphrodisiac that claimed the top spot in the 1998 Triple J Hottest 100.

The Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers’ Festival of Food and Wine is a three-day extravaganza of regional produce and Australian music.

Kicking off on Friday in Queens Park, the festival will also feature headline acts such as Pseudo Echo, The Chantoozies, Vera Blue and Ash Grunwald, as well as local musicians such as Cardboard Cutouts, Flamingo Blonde, Jasmine Aleisha, Kane Maher, The Van Trio, The Hobsons, Lenna Maree Moxey Duo, The Fibonacci Band and Cool Nights Big Band.

With entertainment taken care off, MasterChef winner and author Julie Goodwin will also be on hand, performing live cooking demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday at 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm.

Local brewer 4 Brothers Brewing will be on deck with their signature floral beer, while the region’s first artisan distillery Pechey Distilling Co will have their signature Homestead Gin, as well as their triple distilled 1868 Vodka, with a total of 35 food and wine stalls featuring across the festival.

The festival will run on Friday, September 9 from 3pm to 10pm, Saturday, September 10 from 10am to 10pm, and Sunday, September 11 from 10am to 9pm. Tickets can be purchased online at www.tcof.com.au.
