A massive crowd was on hand to bring their team home as Toowoomba’s Clive Berghofer Stadium played to host to the Downs Rugby grand finals – with officials suggesting it may be a record crowd.

Celebrating 60 years of the Risdon Cup supporters of Dalby Wheatmen, Goondiwindi Emus, Western Wanderers (St George Roma), Toowoomba Bears and Gatton Blackpigs showed their colours as they backed their home team.

In a first for woman’s rugby on the Downs the day included the grand final of the Woman’s XV Black Isuzu Cup between Toowoomba Bears and the St George Roma side of Western Wanderers.
