Ms Evans was commissioned at the school’s Clive Berghofer Sports Centre by Archbishop Phillip Aspinall in front of a full school assembly, supported by dignitaries, family, and principals from local schools and the wider Anglican schools community.

Ms Evans said the privilege of leading a school, one so precious as Glennie, was not lost on her.

“Nor is the enormity of the position,” she said.

“There is no more valuable asset in our society than young people – their promise and optimism, their goodness, and their need for our support and direction to make our world a better place.”
