Toowoomba’s reality TV star has returned home from the Love Island Villa. Now, she’s revealed what the experience was actually like.

It was weeks of highs and lows, love and heartbreak, but plenty of lessons learnt for Toowoomba’s Lexy Thornberry, who starred on Love Island Australia.
Thornberry was eliminated from the Villa last week, after an experience that can only be described as an emotional rollercoaster – but she says the experience was life-changing.
“I learnt so much in there which is ridiculous to say on the outside, but I did,” she said.
“You have to talk about your emotions 24/7, and I really grew in there and raised my standards and didn’t stick around for any bulls--t.
“I really feel like I did grow.”
Thornberry entered the Villa after she was scouted by producers while bartending.
In her time on the show, she paired with Ben, Hugh and Ryan – but it was Ryan’s actions that spelled the end of her stint in the Villa.
Thornberry was left heartbroken after Ryan left her for another girl, Tayla, during “Casa Amor” week, which brought in new men and women to vie for the original group’s affections.
“The low was getting played on national television,” she said.
“That sucked.
“That was a really sh---y week.”
But we haven’t seen the last of the former Fairholme College student and star athlete.
She said she wants to start a podcast with her best friend, and move into an even bigger industry.
“I am trying to find a management company to mange my social media,” she said.
“In the future I would love to act and I’m studying acting next year.”
As for the winners of Love Island, Thornberry said she couldn’t decide between two particular couples – Zoe and Chris, or Tina and Mitch.
