Prince Harry is set to unpack his experiences with a controversial trauma expert, during a livestreamed event in which attendees can submit questions for the royal to answer.
The Duke of Sussex will join Canadian doctor and author Gabor Maté on March 5 (Australian time) for an “intimate conversation,” to which fans can purchase tickers for $A50, publisher Random House said in a statement about the event.
Aussie royal fans will have to set their alarms early to join the event, which kicks off at midday on Saturday, New York time (Sunday, March 5, 4am AEDT).
Ticket prices include a hardcover copy of Prince Harry’s royal-trashing memoir Spare, and the chance to submit a question for Dr Maté to ask the Duke of Sussex during their hour-long chat.
Ticket buyers will also be able to purchase Dr Maté’s most recent book, The Myth of Normal: Trauma, Illness, and Healing in a Toxic Culture.

In an email to Postmedia, Dr Maté said his conversation with the Duke would be about the impact of emotional loss and the importance of personal healing.
“In Spare, Prince Harry is very open about his mental-health challenges, as I have been about my own in my books. Such a public conversation, I hope, will help encourage more openness around mental health and contribute to remove the stigma around what we call mental illness,” Dr Maté said.
“I think a discussion of loss, trauma and healing is of interest to people at all levels of society.”
The doctor has caused controversy in the past for promoting the use of the Amazonian plant ayahuasca to treat mental illness, the New York Post reports.
The event comes just days before Prince Harry’s role as guest speaker at an “immersive two-day summit” for business leaders where tickets cost $A1500.
The Duke of Sussex will attend the event in Nob Hill, San Francisco, on March 7 and 8 in his role as Chief Impact Officer for BetterUp, who are playing host.
