Natalie Portman spotted in Sydney with husband Benjamin Millepied amid alleged affair

Natalie Portman has been spotted with her estranged husband at a major event in Sydney, amid reports of his alleged affair with a younger woman.

Natalie Portman and her estranged husband Benjamin Millepied have been spotted together for the first time since reports of their split emerged.

The pair, who were rocked by allegations of an affair on Millepied’s part back in June, were photographed attending the FIFA Women’s World Cup final between England’s Lionesses and Spain’s La Roja at Stadium Australia in Sydney on Sunday night.

Portman, 42, and Millepied, 46, sat in the crowd alongside their 12-year-old son, Aleph, in photos obtained by Daily Mail.

It was reported earlier this month that the couple, who were married in 2012, had officially separated two months after Millepied made headlines for an alleged affair with 25-year-old French environmentalist, Camille Étienne.

Just days earlier, Portman sparked speculation of their split when she was photographed walking along Sydney Harbour without her engagement ring, the same day the couple would have celebrated their wedding anniversary.

The Black Swan star’s visit to Australia has been in support of the Women’s World Cup, with the actress a co-founder of the US Women’s Soccer League team, Angel City FC, which had two players representing the US during the tournament.

Portman co-founded Angel City FC in 2020 – the largest majority female ownership group in professional sport – with a three-part documentary series called Angel City currently streaming on Binge.

The couple previously lived in Australia in 2020 and 2021 while Portman was filming Thor: Love and Thunder for several months.

In early June, French magazine Voici went public with allegations Millepied had been spending time with Étienne, which Portman was reported to have found out about in March.

“In early March, the star of the Star Wars saga [Portman] discovered that her husband was having an affair with a young woman,” the magazine claimed.

The magazine also published images of Millepied and Étienne going into his office separately on May 24 and exiting ten minutes apart, almost two hours later.

Just two days later, on May 26, Portman and Millepied were photographed kissing at a Beyonce concert in Paris.

Portman and Millepied have not publicly responded to the allegations.

A source confirmed toUs Weekly on August 8 that the couple had officially called it quits.

“After news of his affair came out, they’ve been trying to work on their marriage but are currently on the outs,” the insider claimed.

They met in 2009 on the set of her Oscar-winning ballet movie Black Swan, for which he did the choreography. They got engaged in 2010 and married at Big Sur, California, in 2012.

The couple share two children, Aleph, and Amalia, 6.
