Ole Skool Krome has donated a $1250 generated through car hire fees for the Business Excellence Awards to Toowoomba Hospice.
The car club provided 25 vintage cars including Fords, Holdens and Toranas to transport
sponsors and VIPs to the Toowoomba Chamber’s Focus HR Business Excellence Awards on
December 12, last year.
President of Ole Skool Krome Warren Bradford said the club was pleased to support the night by providing transport – and was now just as pleased to support the Toowoomba Hospice.
Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce president Harrison Humphries said Ole Skool Krome’s generosity was inspiring.
“It was a real treat for our sponsors and VIPs to be picked up at their homes and driven in
style to the Awards events,” he said.
“The experience added to the glamour of the night and we were happy to support the club and reimburse the drivers for their time.
“The drivers could have accepted payment, but they have decided to do something for the community instead and have asked that Toowoomba Chamber pay the fee to Toowoomba Hospice.”
Toowoomba Hospice administration and fundraising manager Mark Munro said: “This was
another example of the wonderful partnerships in our community”.
“We are delighted that the Ole Skool Krome has decided to donate to the Hospice as it will
enable us to continue to provide free palliative care to those who access our facility and
support for their loved ones.”
