Where White Lotus season 3 is being filmed in Thailand
The biggest secret in television is out. We finally know where the third season of The White Lotus will be filmed.
The filming locations of the third season of global television smash hit White Lotus have been revealed, with the addictive drama to be set at Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui and the Anantara Mai Khao Villas Phuket.
Bloomberg reported this morning that rooms at luxury resort on Koh Samui are blocked out throughout the high-season months of February and March. Rooms are also unavailable at Anantara’s property on the holiday island of Phuket for several weeks in April and May.
Hotel executives confirmed White Lotus would be shot at different locations across Thailand and would include filming in Bangkok, the news agency reported.
The Emmy and Golden Globe winning HBO series – airing in Australia on Foxtel and Binge – has traditionally filmed at Four Seasons resorts, delivering a huge boost to the brand’s profile with travellers.
The first season of the Mike White drama was shot at Four Seaons Resort Maui at Wailea in Hawaii and the second season put The San Domenico Palace (also a Four Seasons) in Sicily on the map, drawing tens of thousands of visitors to the tiny town of Taorima.
HBO has already announced new cast members for the third season, including Parker Posey, Carrie Coon and Jason Issacs.
Actress Jennifer Coolidge, whose beloved character Tanya McQuoid was killed off in the last season, recently won a Golden Globe for her performance.
The Four Seasons in Koh Samui has 60 villas with private pools and was designed by famed architect Bill Bensley. Rooms start from $1400 a night in the low season.
