The father of Rhianna's soon-to-be-born son has been arrested over a shooting.

Rhi-Rhi's baby daddy has been arrested in connection to a shooting.

A$AP Rocky, 33, was cuffed at LAX on Wednesday morning as he returned from a highly publicised trip to Barbados with his imminently due partner Rhianna.

He was taken into custody and charged with assault with a deadly weapon, the LA Police Department said in a statement.

The shooting in question took place on November 6, 2021. Police said an argument between "two acquaintances" escalated, resulting in "a suspect" firing a handgun at the alleged victim. The suspect and two other males then ran from the scene. A$AP Rocky - his real name is Rakim Mayers - has been identified as "the suspect".

This is the latest headline hassle for the expectant couple.

Breakup rumours swirled last week, after some random fashion writer allegedly started the fire on social media.

Louis Pisano claimed on Twitter last week that A$AP was caught cheating on Rihanna with Fenty shoe designer Amina Muaddi.

But the rumours were rebuked by "various sources".

"They're fine," a source told The New York Post.

Pisano, like every influencer wanting to come back from the brick of cancellation, eventually apologised for spreading the "reckless" rumour, with another tweet.

But back to old mate's latest issues.

This is not the first time A$AP Rocky has been in trouble with the law.

In 2019, he was arrested and jailed in Sweden for a month for his involvement in a street fight with alleged “drug addicts".

A Swedish judge ordered Rocky and two members of his crew be released until the judge announced the verdicts in the explosive assault case that even attracted President Donald Trump’s attention.

The former president took on Rocky's case and turned the trial from a music story into a full blown diplomat incident by reportedly calling the Swedish prime minister then taking to Twitter.

"Give A$AP Rocky his FREEDOM. We do so much for Sweden but it doesn’t seem to work the other way around. Sweden should focus on its real crime problem! #FreeRocky," Trump tweeted, before he was booted from the platform.

"Many, many members of the African American community have called me — friends of mine — and said, 'Could you help?'' Trump said, in a subsequent film made about the arrest, called Stockholm Syndrome.  "So I personally don't know A$AP Rocky but I can tell you that he has tremendous support from the African American community in this country … I have been called by so many people asking me to help ASAP Rocky."

In a statement after his release, Rocky reflected on his one-month jail stint, calling it a “very difficult and humbling experience.”
