Off-White’s second ever homewares release is here
And it’s everything we love from the mind of Virgil.
Is there anything Virgil Abloh can’t do? As the men’s artistic director of Louis Vuitton and founder of cult streetwear label Off-White, Abloh’s genius has gained him legions of famous fans, including Kanye West and Drake. Now for the second time, the designer has turned his eye to our homes.
Launching the brand’s second homewares drop in collaboration with FarFetch and 1st Dibs, the luxury reselling home emporium, Off-White follows in the success of its Ikea collaboration which led to sell out pieces and lines around city blocks as fans itched at the chance to get their hands on a fake grass carpets and Abloh-approved clocks.
Named “HOME” the collection features over 80 pieces and includes everything from a spotted deckchair to hair brushes and chic umbrella stands.
“We’re thrilled to provide shoppers the first access to a truly remarkable collection of home products from Off-White,” says Cristina Miller, Chief Commercial Officer of 1stDibs. “Especially during these times, when we are increasingly seeing fashion influence home and design, Virgil Abloh’s visions are perfectly positioned to help transform our familiar material world into something extraordinary and conceptual, a boost many a quarantined design-lover will embrace.”
With the same design eye as the brand’s ready-to-wear, each item is branded with the famous fluoro orange Off-White tag, and the products featured live in the same neutral palette, albeit with pops of neon colour.
Furniture, including upholstered stools, features fabric from the brand’s clothing, and a wall clock features the signature Off-White ‘hand’ at the 12 o’clock mark.
A host of table finishings, including ceramics, tablecloths and placemats continue in the Off-White arrow motif, and sleepwear essentials like bed sheets and pillows are emblazoned with the same signature style.
The collection will be housed on 1stDibs, FarFetch and Off-White’s own website from October 6.
