Inside the 2025 Gold Dinner fundraiser for Sydney’s Children’s Hospitals
Another year of the prestigious fundraiser marks another philanthropic milestone for the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation.
This year’s Gold Dinner marks a strong and inspiring milestone in the prestigious fundraiser’s history. The Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation (SCH) this year celebrated over $84 million raised to support sick and injured children across New South Wales, and beyond, at its annual philanthropic gala.
With funds set to go towards life-changing medical paediatric initiatives—from treatment to research, prevention and care with the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, including the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick—the extraordinary result of this year’s fundraising efforts reflects a powerful, and growing, recognition and evolution of the future of Australia’s paediatric healthcare.
Bringing together over 400 donors, business leaders and community partners at Sydney’s Royal Botanic Gardens, the 2025 Gold Dinner proved another yearly moment to celebrate twelve months worth of generosity from many. “Gold Dinner isn’t just a celebration–it’s a catalyst for real and measurable change,” says SCHF CEO Kristina Keneally. “It brings our community together to shine a light on what’s possible when we invest in better care, better treatments and better outcomes for sick kids.”
Presented by One Circular Quay by Lendlease, and supported by Shaw and Partners Financial Services, ABC Bullion, Bvlgari and Bollinger, the Botanic Gardens was lit up with the Gold Dinner marquee last night, and featured performances by Luke Antony, NON (New Old Now) Dancers Group, and a one-night-only orchestral performance curated by musical director Adam Sofo, and sets by producer Jourdan Evans and SXNCELLO.
A bespoke dinner service by acclaimed chef Jonathan Barthelmess was on the menu, and a notable guest list of local names across philanthropy, business, the arts and health gathered to celebrate their shared hope and purpose: “to change the future for sick kids”.
