Welcome to the Trading Day blog for Wednesday, January 24. The ASX 200 index closed flat, up slightly to 7,519.20 points. The S&P 500 rose 0.3 per cent to a record high close in a mixed Wall Street session.

 

The Aussie dollar is trading around US65.73c at 5.15pm AEDT.
