Welcome to the Trading Day blog for Tuesday, November 21. The ASX 200 index closes 0.3 per cent higher at 7078.20 points on strong mining sector gains, as iron ore prices jump.  Wall St closed higher led by Microsoft.

The Aussie dollar is near US65.83c.
