UK broadcaster Piers Morgan departs Sky News Australia and his program to be replaced by The Rita Panahi Show
British broadcaster Piers Morgan departs Sky News Australia after two years and his program will be replaced with The Rita Panahi Show.
British broadcaster Piers Morgan’s TV program has ended on linear TV and he will instead focus his efforts on the show’s YouTube channel.
Morgan’s program, Piers Morgan Uncensored, aired on Sky News Australia and also in the UK and US and his last program was scheduled to air on Friday night.
His program debuted two years ago and also aired on the UK’s TalkTV channel and US streaming service Fox Nation.

The 58-year-old said there was “global demand for content we’re making” and his daily show, which aired at a fixed time, meant he had been in an “unnecessary straitjacket”.
Morgan’s YouTube channel has 2.4 million subscribers.
Sky News host Rita Panahi’s program, The Rita Panahi Show, and a special online edition of the program, will be expanded from one to four nights a week and air from Monday to Thursday in the 11pm AEDT timeslot replacing Morgan.
Sky News Australia is owned by News Corp Australia, publisher of The Australian.
Panahi, also a columnist at the Herald Sun, said she was “excited” about her program being extended to four nights a week at the broadcaster.
“It’s hugely exciting and a privilege to be part of the team growing the Sky News Australia brand both locally and internationally through our digital channels,” she said.
“The program will be fast paced with a mix of local and international news and must-watch regulars including one of the finest thinkers of his generation, Douglas Murray.”
