BILLIONAIRE James Packer has had lunch with fellow media mogul, Seven’s Kerry Stokes — a rival of Nine CEO David Gyngell.

Sporting a small black eye, Packer today emerged from his Campbell Road, Bondi unit, where he has been holed up since his Sunday afternoon brawl with Gyngell.

The Australian understands Packer’s friendship with Stokes has been a point of contention between him and Gyngell, whose Nine network is in a fierce ratings battle with Seven.

When questioned, a spokesman for Packer said it was a long-standing lunch appointment in Stokes’s Woolloomooloo office.

Packer was dropped off at the front of Stokes’ office and was seen walking in through the front door.
