This blink-and-you'll-miss-it cafe, and its older Wentworth Street sibling, Circa Espresso, are two of Parra's most chilled-out spots. Three Ropes has outdoor alley seating, and a few tables inside where coffee fiends throw back brews to rockabilly beats. Some come purely for the Little Marionette coffee served by laidback baristas, while others feast on poached chicken sandwiches with avocado, rocket, gouda, aioli and tomato on big slices of crunchy brown bread. A panini with lightly toasted bacon, boiled egg and tangy relish is a winner, as is thick-sliced banana bread served warm and slathered in homemade passionfruit butter.
