Robin Hood Hotel
13/20
Modern Australian
An eastern suburbs favourite with a good specials board, the Robin Hood Hotel should do well. But you could hit glitches in the service. We visited on a night when they appeared understaffed, were given the wrong buzzer and copped a blast from the chef when we grabbed our food from the servery ourselves (even though they were our meals) - a bad start. The food was patchy: pork belly was a square of fat with very little meat, but the wagyu beef fajita with rice arrived in a generous serve and was tasty. The fish and chips were delicious, with good quality produce cooked well. Everyone proclaimed the buffalo wings a winner.
