Robin Hood Hotel
13/20
Modern Australian
This Robin Hood certainly does give to the poor. If you've got only $10 in your pocket you can still have a substantial and satisfying meal here, such as the wagyu beef sandwich served on a timber chopping block and loaded up with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and horseradish mayo. Try the 250-gram grain-fed rump with chips for the same price, or splash out on a $16 Portuguese chicken burger, which is succulent but could do with a touch more flavour. Skip the poky courtyard and take a seat by one of the windows to watch the passing eastern-suburbs parade.
