Kent Hotel
15/20
Modern Australian$$
The busy Kent is the first and often the last stop on a night out hereabouts. Mexican-style beef tacos with sour cream, guacamole and salsa come with a generous side of spicy potato wedges. The prime Aussie pork cutlets with vegies and sweet potato and coriander mash are tender and oh-so-tasty. Mexican beer on tap makes it all go down more easily. The menu is broad, from pumpkin ravioli to Moroccan lamb tagine, with plenty of steaks and burgers as well. The beer garden atmosphere is child-friendly and laid back, with sport on several TV screens and frequent live music in the adjoining main bar.
