So you are a candy bandit. You're in luck. Following the great get by Stokehouse restaurant, hiring pastry chef Lauren Eldridge (the SMH Josephine Pignolet Young Chef of the Year 2015) they are holding two dessert degustations to showcase her skills.

The first is sold out but the second, on September 19, will be held in the Palm Room overlooking the beach and feature seven to nine courses of dessert, including semi-savoury courses such as a Pyengana custard with pears so it shouldn't shake you completely off your chair. It's $65 or $95 with a wine match.

Meanwhile, Melbourne's original dessert-for-dinner chef Pierre Roelofs, who wrapped up his long-running dessert evenings a year ago, is holding three sessions in October 26-28 at Minanoie in Collingwood. As usual there will be two sessions a night, four-courses of his sweet savoury creations.

Bookings via the Stokehouse on 03 9525 5555 and pierreroelofs.com
