My day on a plate: Lorna Jane Clarkson

Entrepreneur Lorna Jane Clarkson, 57, shares her day on a plate.

5am A big glass of filtered water, as well as a pre-workout punnet of blueberries and black coffee with a dash of coconut water. I aim to drink two litres of water a day.

8.30am A smoothie made with baby spinach, banana, mango, macadamia milk, almond butter, white chia seeds, raw honey and maca powder, sprinkled with dried banana slices, chia seeds and bee pollen.

12.30pm Grilled salmon with roast vegetables and green salad.

3.30pm A mid-afternoon pick-me-up of mini carrots and cucumbers with homemade hummus.

6.30pm Roast lamb fillet with roasted sweet potato and broccolini, green beans and snowpeas.

7.30pm I always eat dessert, and tonight it’s a homemade chocolate protein ball with liquorice tea.

Top marks for … A nutritious day of wholefood eating. You tick the boxes for the recommended amounts of fruit, vegetables and nuts, while getting plenty of protein and a good dose of omega-3 fats from the salmon and chia.
