The bar at this 150-year-old haunt draws vocal crowds for Sunday footy and cold Carlton Draught. Things are more zhuzhed-up in the restaurant. Chicken liver parfait with apricot brandy jelly is a riff on apricot chicken, while pie floaters and sticky date pudding travel further back in time. Even cocktails, such as the Appletini, make for a tasty, tongue-in-cheek throwback.
