Lee Kum Kee shares this kaleidoscope of tastes with the world in an array of exquisite sauces made from family recipes and finest ingredients, empowering everyone to create their favourite Asian dishes at home.

Perfected over generations and crafted with unparalleled expertise, Lee Kum Kee sauces bring easy, delicious authenticity to your cooking. The wide range spans the entire Asian flavour spectrum with essentials such as soy, chilli, hoisin, char siu – and oyster, the famous sauce that started the Lee Kum Kee story.

Lee Kum Kee was established in 1888 in the southern Chinese province Guangdong, when a restaurateur named Lee Kum Sheung accidentally left a pot of oyster soup simmering on the stove.

The resulting thick, glossy gravy was so tasty he began to sell it as ‘oyster sauce.’ It was to be the first in a range of exceptional products sold by his family to this day, and launched their Hong Kong sauce company, Lee Kum Kee.

Almost 135 years on and now an international household name, Lee Kum Kee provides over 300 choices of sauces and condiments to over 100 countries and regions worldwide – never wavering from its founder’s commitment to excellence. Each sauce is made with meticulously selected farm-to-fork ingredients and closely guarded recipes, delivering unique flavour and rich heritage with every drop.

Cleary enjoys elevating his own Asian cooking with Lee Kum Kee’s flavour-packed sauces and condiments - most of all the Hong Kong classic and Lee Kum Kee founding product, oyster sauce.

“My absolute favourite has to be Lee Kum Kee Oyster Sauce,” he says. “It adds such a deep, rich umami flavour to stir fries, marinades, and even as a finishing sauce.”

The star chef is excited to be heading to Hong Kong soon to explore Lee Kum Kee’s rich heritage and the city’s outstanding foodie scene.

“The energy of the city and the diversity of its cuisine are truly unique,” he says. “For us Aussies, experiencing something like Hong Kong’s vibrant food scene can inspire a deeper appreciation for culinary diversity and teach us new ways of incorporating global flavours into our everyday cooking.”
