This is a popular pub, so remember to book. The menu changes seasonally and along with the usual pizzas and pies there are some less predictable choices. Eggplant, cumin, coriander and mint bruschetta was a tasty, piquant treat spoiled by a tough piece of bread, but five spice chicken breast with shiitake broth and rice noodles couldn't have been a more subtle blend of flavours. Seared ocean scallops came with a delicious little tower of tomato risotto, and pizza with lashings of bacon was excellent. Fast, friendly service was spoiled by putting our dirty cutlery back on the table to reuse with mains.
