Cafecito
Brazilian$$
Sure, this cafe hidden under Town Hall seems like a run-of-the-mill food-court sandwich bar, but some tell-tale signs hint that there's more to the story: a Brazilian flag, a whiteboard list of offerings such as picadinho (a feast of succulent beef strips with sticky onions, a mound of rice and tropeiro beans) and coxinha de frango (croquettes filled with chicken). The pastel is much like an empanada, the crisp-fried square stuffed with delicately spiced ground beef, chorizo or prawn. Bubbly staff are usually willing to guide customers through the menu despite the counter service, and every day features a different Brazilian special.
