Berry Hotel
14/20
Modern Australian$$
Local farmers must need feeding up because the Shoalhaven steaks, with choice of sauce, cover the whole plate, the burgers are enormous and the local oysters are the size of eggs. The hotel dates from 1860 and has a great ambience, especially in winter, with an open fireplace in the old Coach House and gas heaters in the covered beer garden. The All Day Cafe is terrific for cakes and coffee. The staff have been injected with country hospitality and even when rushed off their feet will stop to give you good tips about what to do in the area.
