Appin Hotel

13/20

Pub dining$$

There's a distinct rural community air around this little country pub across the road from the footy field, with a kids' play gym out the back and plenty of tables big enough for groups, teams and families. The wall mural menu is full of great-value hearty pub staples like grain-fed scotch fillet, schnitzels, pasta and fish of the day. There's a separate board for rotating specials like our choice of chicken montaray (sic) and lamb, beef or pork roasts, and there are oysters on the weekend. These are big blokes' serves, but thankfully available in halves for normal folks. Go hungry and take the kids.
