Wang Wang Dumpling
Chinese
Cheap and cheerful Chinese in a Coburg carpark is more alliteration than one review can stand, but it’s an accurate description of Wang Wang, stranded in its breeze-block bunkhouse in a sea of parked autos. The best of the Shanghai-influenced menu, which runs from noodle soups to sizzling hotplates and steaming hotpots, are the dim-sum-like entrees - sweet mini steamed pork buns or sliced spring onion pancake - and dumplings. Prawn and chicken, beef, pork or veg bundles come unadorned, 10 to a serve. The tender and sweetly meaty steamed dumplings have the edge over the wok-charred and slightly oily fried versions.
