Torquay Larder
Contemporary
Regional produce and quality imported fare practically burst the seams of this little larder-deli-cafe. Take a seat at the small communal table and peruse shelves stacked with preserves, spices and biscuits. There's a fridge filled with Istra smallgoods, cheeses and house-made pies, and a display case full of sandwiches made with things like roast lamb and salad or poached chicken and mayo on La Madre bread. The brunch-focused menu represents the business's cafe side, with avocado, vine-ripened tomatoes and Meredith goat's feta on toast, New York-style bagels, chewy lemon and coconut slice and perhaps the best coffees in town.
