Kitchenboys
Hawker food has hit the hills with Kitchenboys, a dumpling and noodle nook down by the mighty Yarra. Classic street eats have a fresh makeover, so a steamed bao bun folds like a burger over a filling of smoky, star-anise-smacked pork or chicken. Expect great tofu-mushroom dumplings, or perhaps beef and chive, and a veg-laden laksa. Noodles, perhaps with chicken, crunchy greens and yakisoba sauce, are freshly blasted on the wok burner. There's also steamed ginger pud with coconut custard for dessert.
