Chatswood's popular Thai eatery Khao Pla is now bringing you some of Sydney's best Thai street food in Macquarie Centre.

The sleek family-friendly venue, which is laden with greenery, offers takeaway or sit-down service as fast as you can clear your plate.

Head chef Pla Rojratanavichai and his team forge fiery plates from Bangkok along the open pass. Pla's menu is informed by his experience working in some of Sydney's top Asian restaurants such as Spice I Am, Mr Wong and Ms G's. Expect sapid, authentic food, with plenty to love for the spicy-hearted.

Turn up the volume on your classic favourites: a zesty, crunchy Isaan steak tartare, or a fish mousse grilled in banana leaf (known as hor mok yang).

The menu accommodates vegetarians, vegans, nibblers and sharers; yum nashi pear salad with soft shell crab is one of many gluten-free options, or tao hu pad prik khing for vegetarians (fried bean curd with curry paste and beans).

Specials change with the seasons and customer demand - for example, pla nueng manow, which is steamed whole baby snapper with a lime and chilli dressing. Less adventurous eaters can also look to old favourites such as pad si ew or massamun.

Oh, and don't forget to order their twice-cooked ribs, porky.
